Sports Children And Sports - 881 Words

Children and Sports Sports have been of part of the lives of many children all across the nation. Sports help children in ways that affect their entire life. When children play sports it teaches them how to work cohesively with other people and how to work hard to reach their goals. Sports can be very influential in a child’s life because some people have parents to teach them morals and life lessons other have coaches to fill the gap. Children need sports in their lives, it will help them in the long run. Sports have significant effect on children teaching them valuable life lessons and keeping some out trouble. Children who participate in sports are less likely to experience health problems like high blood pressure, heart disease, and obesity. Those problems have affected many of America’s children. Sports are not just fun for children they also can keep children healthy and fit. Reagan As the creator of Reaganomics, former president Ronald Reagan was elected to office in the year 1981. Reagan was extremely focused on strengthening the economy of the United States while also preventing the government from being overly involved in the daily lives of the American people. The child I chose to write about for this assignment is two year old Danjuma from Wayne, Ohio. He is the youngest of three children and attends an Early Head Start Program two days a week. The child’s parents have jobs; when the mother is working her sister takes care of Danjuma. The family has financial problems but don’t qualify for any type of public assistance. Danjuma is twenty-four inches tall and twenty-eight pounds. He walks well and has good coordination; he can be seen running, jumping, creeping, crawling, and rolling. He can kick a small ball forward as well as catch a ball using is full body; he can also throw a ball overhand. At home he can turn doorknobs, get himself undressed, and can feed himself using eating†¦show more content†¦When someone approaches the child to help him complete his task, he refuses it, saying â€Å"Me do it.† This child can also count to five but has no knowledge of how many each number word represents. He also know s the words â€Å"same† and â€Å"different† as well as the concepts behind them. Danjuma is very verbal at home; his family can easily understand what he says. His teachers have said that he is difficult to understand as he has many substitutions for different words. For example: â€Å"Coat† is â€Å"boat† and â€Å"hungry† is â€Å"bungy†. His family often has to step in and translate for others outside the family. This child can understand simple directions as well as other phrases used in typical everyday situations. When his mother prompts him, Danjuma can tell his two older siblings about his day at school. He loves â€Å"reading† books and is often seen looking at familiar books in his own. He also knows the A B C song but has no understanding that the letters he sings correspond to specific graphic designs. He also loves drawing and makes a variety of scribble marks using a fist grasp on his crayon. Danjuma is a socially outgo ing child and easy to get along with. There are times when he appears to be stubborn; for example, there are times when he insists on removing his coat on his own, even when the task is a little too difficult for him. My Stressful Life Essay When I think about stress I think about work, school and starting a family. First, I am currently working two jobs, it was three but it got to be a bit much when school started. When look at everything that you have accomplished I know that it will be well worth It in the end. I work so much at what I do and go over and beyond, to aim high to push myself to reach all the goals that I have set and looking forward to be able to accomplish my goals and dreams that I set out to complete. When I get stressed, I get upset, for instance I worked three Jobs and go to school. That alone can be very stressful. I go to my first job, beginning at four am in the morning. Then on my lunch break I go to class from 10:00 am till 10:45. Which i cant stay the whole class I have to leave like 30 minutes to make it back to work on time. Then I return to work to complete my job. Then, after I get out of that job at 1:00 pm I then go to my other class at 12:30 which i miss the first thirty minutes of that class. So then, I am in that class till 3:20. After I get out of that class I go to my other job. Then, I have to be at my other job at 4:00 pm until ten at night. So you can say I have a pretty busy and productive life that has a lot of stress in it all together along with all I am so tired and stressed out most of the time that goes a long with being very cranky sometimes. I get to the point that I am just physically and mentally exhausted that I want to go in my room black out my window and sleep for days. On top of everything going on in my life I would like to start a family with my partner I have always wanted to experience mother hood since I can remember it’s something that means a lot to me becoming a mother. I found out about four months ago that I have diabetes so that has been another stressful situation on top of everything else going on in my life. I went to the doctor. Worked as hard as I could and still to this day I am working each and every day to do what I can to stay healthy. I eat right, exercise with all that. I went to a fertility clinic and have to keep working hard but just a little harder to get my a1c testing from a 7. 5 to a 6. 00 it’s going to be a challenge but if you know me you know that I am a hard worker and always finish everything I start. I will do this and do it right. When I stand back a look at everything that I have accomplished this far in my life. I think to myself wonder what the future holds. So that’s my wonderful, all so stressful life. That I am very happy with all in all I am. I feel very content with my life, like they say the harder you work the more it pays in the end. So, I work two jobs and go to school and am planning to start a family all within this year. I love the everyday challenges that my life brings each and every day that I start my day .

Jasper Newton Daniel Was Born In 1848 As The Tenth Child Of Thirteen.

Jasper Newton Daniel was born in 1848 as the tenth child of thirteen. At the age of 12 Jack Daniel started a career that would last him a lifetime. He was hired out to work for a man by the name of Dan Call, a preacher at a Lutheran church. At Mr. Calls distillery he learned the trait of making whiskey. Three years later he and Mr. Call were full partners in the whiskey making business. Mr. Call was a dedicated Lutheran. Just after the civil war his family and church told him to make a decision between the church and his business of making whiskey. Mr. Call decided to go with the church. So Jack bought out his share of the business. Jack had found a perfect cave spring and bought 500 acres around it. Jack then moved his distillery to this location and over 130 years later the distillery stands here today. In the rolling hills of southern middle Tennessee lies the city of Lynchburg where Jack was born and lived all of his life. This is the county seat of Moore County, which is Tennessees smallest county. This town, like most other small towns in middle Tennessee has a square for the hub of the town. One of the major structures here is the Courthouse. Back in 1885 people of Lynchburg built this structure with bricks made in the town. Now, my favorite item of historic relevance in Moore County is the Jack Daniel Distillery. This is at the same site Jack decided on in 1866. This is a National Historic site that has had its license since 1866. The quality Tennessee Whiskey goes through the same processes that it did when founded by Mr. Jack Daniel. To this day they are sticking by Mr. Jacks motto: Each day we make it, we will make it the best we can. To help Mr. Daniel hold down the fort in Lynchburg he introduced the business to his nephew Lem Motlow. Mr. Motlow and Mr. Daniel kept the whiskey business going in high gear until the death of Mr. Daniel in 1911.He died from blood poisoning after he had kicked his safe when it didnt open correctly six years ago. Lem Motlow then became the second head distiller. He kept the process the old fashioned way as his mentor had showed him in previous years. He was also a very respected businessman in Lynchburg. Out of respect for Jack Mr. Motlow had a life-sized statue of Jack Daniel made. The statue was crafted from fine Italian Marble and is still viewable today. This statue now stands 100 feet from the cave spring Mr. Daniel found in 1866. Jimmy Bedford holds the title of being the present and last one of the six Head Distillers since 1866. From Mr. Bedford, all the way back to Mr. Jack Daniel himself, only Tennessee boys have held this position. I guess it takes someone from Tennessee to keep the traditional drink the way it sipped in 1866. Mr. Bedford will continue to produce this fine sour mash whiskey that came out of the distillery in 1866. When Jack Daniel selected the site in 1866 it was because of the cave spring that flowed in the Lynchburg hollow. The aquifer that the water flows out of is limestone. Limestone takes the iron out of the water and Mr. Daniel knew this. He also knew that iron would affect the taste of his whiskey. Another plus about the spring was the temperature. It is a constant 56 degrees. This temperature is perfect for making whiskey. This water is one of the key differences in Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey. The spring water when combined with barley malt, rye and corn forms the mash. This combination of substances according to Jacks original recipe will be cooked and placed in a copper still. The copper still is just another step to a better sipping whiskey. The mixture will ferment once it gets placed in the vat that contains yeast from the previous batch. The difference this time is that it is the last time. Once more through the examination mill and then out I pop – an educated graduate. I can’t help but think that I feel more like an Uncle Toby’s Raspberry Roll-Up coming out flat at the other end.The last few years have flown by in a spicy, rebellious fog of cigarette smoke and 5dollar cocktails. I’m not ready for the corporate smoke den. What have really accomplished? A degree. A degree of waste, unhappiness and boredom. I wanted to study what I loved; instead, I chose what would guarantee my employment. I chose numbers over words, and words over meaning. Now I sit alone with my mistake. Now I have to forge hope out of my beaten-down heart. I haven’t been feeding my soul. I’ve been poisoning it with convention. I feel like I am holding my breath, swimming underwater and looking around at the landscape. I see myself on the land above, moving through life with effort. Mordecai Que en Esther’s cousin, who raised her like a father, finds out that that Haman on behalf of King Xerxes is going to annihilate the Jews. The Jews had all torn their clothes and put on sackcloth and ashes as a way of mourning.
